Expand Command Does Not Expand Entire Thread in Internet News (154545)

When you attempt to expand an entire thread in Internet News by clicking
the thread and then clicking Expand on the View menu, the entire thread is
not expanded. Instead of displaying all messages in the thread, Internet
News displays only replies to the original message.
RESOLUTION
To expand an entire thread in Internet News, click Options on the News
menu, click the Read tab, click the Auto Expand Conversation Threads
check box to select it, and then click OK. This causes all threads in the
current newsgroup to be expanded automatically. When you open other
newsgroups, all threads in those newsgroups are expanded automatically as
well.
NOTE: You cannot automatically expand an individual thread in Internet
News.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Mail
and News version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
