Cancel While Downloading Newsgroups May Not Work Properly (153849)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Cancel to stop downloading newsgroups, the Download dialog box may disappear for a moment and then reappear. After this occurs, downloading continues.

RESOLUTION

Click Cancel a second time to clear the dialog box and cancel downloading.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Mail and News version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
