This article was previously published under Q152580 SYMPTOMS
When you add a Microsoft Excel section that contains one or more links to a
Microsoft Office Binder, Binder displays the following message:
This document contains links. Re-establish links?
If you click Yes, Binder looks for the file in the temporary folder. It
displays a dialog box titled "File Not Found." After you navigate to the
proper linked file and click OK, Binder inserts the file. However, if you
click a cell that contains a link, the formula bar shows that the link is
to a file in the temporary folder, instead of into the folder where the
linked file resides.
If you click No, Binder inserts the file. However, if you click a cell that
contains a link, the formula bar shows that the link is to a file in the
temporary folder, instead of the folder where the linked file resides.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the following steps:
- Open the binder file.
- On the Edit menu, click Links.
- Select the link to be modified, and click Change Source.
- Select the proper source file, and click OK.
- In the Links dialog box, click OK.
