This article was previously published under Q150327 SYMPTOMS When you print an account directly from the Account
Register, the opening balance and the running balance column may not print. The
amount column may also be missing. CAUSE The columns of the printed register are dynamic in width.
Which means that if an entry in a column (usually the payee or category) is
long, other columns may be forced to print on another page. If you print the
entire account, then the missing column(s) will be on the final pages.
RESOLUTION There are two possible resolutions to allow all columns to
print on the same page: Resolution 1 Change the print setup to print the pages in landscape
orientation. To do this, follow these steps:
- When viewing the account you want to print in the Account
Register, click Print on the File menu.
- Click Setup, and then click the
Landscape button under Orientation.

MORE INFORMATION The only customization possible when printing directly from
the Account Register is changes to the printer setup such as Orientation, Paper
Size, and so on.
If classifications have been added to your file,
the classification column(s) will also be printed when printing from the
Account register. This could force more columns to other pages.
If
the option to print pages # to # is chosen instead of printing the entire
account from the Account Register, the pages with the extra columns may not
print. This is because all the pages for the first few columns will print for
all the transactions; then the remaining columns will print for those same
transactions.
