Microsoft Money 2005 and later versions of Money

To add a payee in Money 2005 or in later versions of Money, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Banking tab.
  2. Click Account Tools, and then click Categories and Payees.
  3. In the left pane, click Payees, and then click New.
  4. Type the name of the new payee in the Name box, and then click OK.
The new payee is now created. The next time that you create an Epay or Apay transaction payable to this payee, Money prompts you to enter an address and an account number. After you supply this information, Money enables this payee for electronic services.

To delete a payee, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Banking tab.
  2. Click Account Tools, and then click Categories and Payees.
  3. In the left pane, click Payees.
  4. In the Payees list, click the payee that you want to delete.
  5. Click Delete. When a message appears that asks if you are sure that you want to delete the payee, click Yes.

Microsoft Money 2000 through Microsoft Money 2004

To add a payee in these versions of Money, follow these steps:
  1. In Money 2001 through Money 2004, click Accounts & Bills, and then click Categories and Payees.

    In Money 2000, click More on the navigation bar, and then click Categories and Payees.
  2. In the left pane, click Payees.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. Type the name of the new payee in the Name box.
  5. Click OK.
The new payee is now created. The next time you create an Epay or Apay transaction payable to this payee, Money prompts you to enter an address and account number. After supplying this information, Money enables this payee for electronic services.

To delete a payee, follow these steps:
  1. In the Payees list, click the Payee you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. A dialog box appears that asks if you are sure you want to delete the payee.
  4. Click Yes.

Microsoft Money 99 or Microsoft Money 98

To add a payee in Money 99 or in Money 98, follow these steps:
  1. Click Categories on the navigation bar.
  2. In the Categories and Payees area, click the Payees tab on the left side of the screen.

    This changes the view to Payees.
  3. Click New at the bottom of the screen.
  4. In the Create New Payee dialog box, type the name of the new payee, and then click OK.
The new payee is now created. The next time you create an Epay or Apay transaction payable to this payee, Money prompts you to enter an address and account number. After supplying this information, Money enables this payee for electronic services.

To delete a payee, follow these steps:
  1. Click Categories on the navigation bar.
  2. In the Categories and Payees area, click the Payees tab on the left side of the screen. This changes the view to Payees.

  4. Click Yes when you are prompted with the following:

    Are you sure you want to delete <payee name>?

    If you delete this payee, it won't affect your previous transactions.
The payee is now deleted.

Microsoft Money 5.0

To add a payee in Money 5.0, follow these steps:
  1. On the Contents screen, click Payees and Categories.
  2. In the Payees and Categories area, click Payees on the left side of the screen. This changes the view to Payees.
  3. Click New at the bottom of the screen.
  4. In the Create New Payee dialog box, type the name of the new payee, and click OK.
The new payee is now created. The next time you create an Epay or Apay transaction payable to this payee, Money prompts you to enter an address and account number. After supplying this information, Money enables this payee for electronic services.

  1. On the Contents screen, click Payees and Categories.
  2. In the Payees And Categories area, click Payees on the left side of the screen.

    Are you sure you want to delete <payee name>?
