If you change the base calendar for the project to any calendar other than
the Standard calendar, the Working Days (Base Calendar) report displays
only information in the Standard base calendar.
RESOLUTION
The Working Days report displays information from the first base calendar
associated with a project; by default, this is the calendar named Standard.
To "move" another base calendar to be the "first" project calendar, the
following steps are given to illustrate this "move" process:
- Create a new project.
- Click Change Working Time from the Tools menu.
- Click he New button. Click the Create New Base Calendar button, enter
an appropriate name and click OK.
- Make appropriate calendar changes to your new base calendar and click
OK.
- Click Change Working Time from the Tools menu.
- Select the Standard calendar from the For drop down list. Click the
New button. Click OK.
This makes a copy of the Standard Calendar. - Click More Views from the View menu. Click the Organizer button.
- Click the Calendar tab.
- Click the Standard calendar. Click Delete. Click the Copy of Standard
calendar. Click Rename. Enter Standard as the name. Click Close.
The above process creates a new base calendar, makes a backup copy of
the Standard calendar, and deletes the original Standard calendar to
allow the new base calendar to become the "first" base calendar in the
project. The backup copy of Standard is then renamed to Standard.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
