Error Pasting Text into Header, Footer, or Footnote (140690)

When you paste text into a header, footer, or footnote of a Works 4.0
document, the following error may occur:
Cannot paste selection.
The selection may not be valid, or you encountered other special
circumstances in a footnote, or header/footer.
RESOLUTION
To paste text into a header, footer, or footnote, the text must be
unformatted text.
To paste unformatted text into a header, footer, or footnote, do the
following:
- Click the header, footer, or footnote where you want the text to be
inserted.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
- Click Unformatted Text.
- Click OK.
