SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you display Help for a method or property from an object library file that is referenced in your module, you receive the following error message:
The topic does not exist. Contact your application vendor for an updated Help file. (129)

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you reference an object library in a module in your project, such as the Microsoft Excel 5.0 Object Library, and you attempt to display Help for a method or property in the object library by using the Object Browser or context sensitive Help (by pressing F1 with a keyword selected in the module).

For example, if you reference the Microsoft Excel 5.0 Object Library in your module, and you open the Object Browser, if you attempt to display Help for the ReplacementList property of the AutoCorrect object in the Microsoft Excel library, you receive the error message described above.

This problem occurs with the following object libraries.
Name in References Filename Name in Object Browser

Microsoft Office 95 Object Library Mso5enu.dll MicrosoftOffice

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you must start the program that installs the Help file for the object library, such as Microsoft Excel, run Help in this program, and enter the keyword for which you want help.

STATUS
