SUMMARY

Microsoft Money does not contain a Schedule D Tax Form option that you can assign to a category or subcategory. The Schedule D Form is used to report your capital gains to the IRS.

Money does have a Capital Gains Report available that can be used to retrieve the necessary information.

Creating a Capital Gains Report in Money 98 or Later

  1. On the Money navigation bar, click Reports.

    If you are using Money 2001, click Reports Gallery.
  2. In the left pane, click Taxes.
  3. In the list of tax reports, click Capital Gains, and then click Go To Report/Chart.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. Customize the report or refine the information you want on the report, and then click OK.
You can now print the report or export it to a text (.txt) file.

Creating a Capital Gains Report in Money 97

  1. On the Contents screen, click Report and Chart Gallery.
  2. Click Taxes.
  3. In the list of reports, click Capital Gains, and then click Go To Report/Chart.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. Customize the report or refine the information you want on the report, and then click OK.
You can now print the report or export it to a text (.txt) file.
