EventID 012 with Source FTDISK Starting Disk Administrator (114420)

You may receive this message when you open Disk Administrator:
A stripe set or volume set member listed
in the configuration is missing
Each reboot generates error EventID 012 with the source FTDISK in the event log.
CAUSE
A disk drive has been removed from a volume set or a stripe set. Disk
Administrator retains information about the drive in the event that it is
replaced and issues the error message.
RESOLUTION
To eliminate the error message, use the Registry Editor to delete the DISK
key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM. Run Disk Administrator to recreate the DISK key with the current information.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide
problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them.
Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of
Registry Editor can be resolved. Use this tool at your own risk.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
