This article was previously published under Q113310 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, when you use the Copy Picture button in the PERT
Chart view and you are viewing your project in a zoomed view, the pasted
information appears in its original size (not in the expected zoomed size).
CAUSE
The Zoom command in the PERT Chart view only affects the screen. This
feature does not affect printing or copying.
WORKAROUND
If you want to copy a zoomed view of your project from the PERT
Chart, and paste the information to another project or a document in
another program, follow these steps:
- Use the Zoom command to view your project at the necessary zoom
percentage in the PERT Chart view.
- Press ALT+PRINT SCREEN to copy the active window to the Windows
Clipboard.
- Start a program such as Windows Paintbrush, and click Paste on
the Edit menu.
- Use the tools in Paintbrush to edit the picture (for example you may
want to erase unwanted window details). Select the area you want to
copy, and click Copy on the Edit menu.
- In the program you want to paste the view to, click Paste on the
Edit menu.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
