Excel Toolbar Shown in Works when Excel Object Is Not Active (112154)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works 3.0
- Microsoft Works for Windows 95, version 4.0
This article was previously published under Q112154 SYMPTOMS
If you have inserted an Excel Spreadsheet object into a Works
Word Processor document, switching between Microsoft Windows-based
applications may cause the Excel toolbar to display when there is not an
Excel object active.
CAUSE
This occurs when you switch to another application while the Excel
object is still active (bordered with the diagonal hatch marks).
RESOLUTION
To return to the correct behavior, click outside the Excel object, on the
document it is embedded in, to return to the Works toolbar.
To prevent this behavior from occurring, remember to click outside the
Excel object before switching to another application or creating an
additional Word Processor document.
