The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Works 3.0

This article was previously published under Q112149

SYMPTOMS

The row height of the source cell in the spreadsheet or the database list view is not copied when you use the Fill Series or Fill Down commands.

This is most noticeable when you are using a large font size in the source cell.

RESOLUTION

After filling down your data, leave all of the cells highlighted and choose Row Height from the Format menu. In the Row Height box, select Best Fit and choose OK or press ENTER.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Create a new Works spreadsheet.
  2. Type works in cell A1.
  3. Change the font to Arial 30 for cell A1.
  4. Highlight cells A1 through A5.
  5. From the Edit menu, choose Fill Down.
Note that the contents of cells A2 through A5 are only partially displayed because the row height formatting for cell A1 was not filled down in the process.
