Err Msg: Tutorial Cannot Continue...Followed by a GP Fault (111799)

While running the Works tutorial, you may receive the error message
Tutorial cannot continue. Choose OK to return to Works.
followed by the error message:
MS Works caused a General Protection Fault
in module MSWORKS.EXE
The system may then either stop responding (hang) or exit Windows and
produce the following system error message
EMM386 has detected error <ERR #> in an application at memory address
<mem add>. To minimize the chance of data loss, EMM386 has halted your
computer. For more information, see the README.TXT file.
To restart your computer, press ENTER.
where <ERR #> is an exception error that may vary and <mem add> is a
memory address that also may vary.
CAUSE
This is caused by not having a default printer selected in Windows.
RESOLUTION
To prevent the error message from occurring, either set one of the
currently installed printers as the default, or install a printer driver
and set it as the default printer.
