16-Bit Applications Don't Run After You Quit Excel 5.0 (111273)

SYMPTOMS

When you start and then quit Microsoft Excel 5.0 for Windows under Windows NT, and then you attempt to start another 16-bit application, an error message may appear or the hourglass pointer appears and the application fails to start. Other 16-bit applications do start after you log off and then log back on to Windows NT.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
