Microsoft Dinosaurs for the Macintosh is based on the original Windows version of Microsoft Dinosaurs. In Windows, if you exit the Guided Tour by clicking a jump topic, you will return to the last screen in the Guided Tour if you choose the Back button. The Guided Tour will not restart, however. The Macintosh version will return you to the last screen you accessed in the Guided Tour and restart the Guided Tour.

Steps to Reproduce Situation on the Macintosh and Windows

  1. Start the Guided Tour in Dinosaurs.
  2. Select the first guided tour, Dinosaur Or Not?
  3. Click the jump word, Pterosaur.
  4. Click the Reptiles Of The Air button.
  5. Select OK or YES to exit the Guided Tour and tour on your own.
  6. Click the Back button.
Dinosaurs for Windows will return you to the last screen you accessed in the Guided Tour, but the Guided Tour will not restart.

Dinosaurs for the Macintosh will return you to the last screen you accessed in the Guided Tour and restart the Guided Tour.
