This article was previously published under Q110398 SYMPTOMS
When you run Word with Windows for Pen Computing, drag-and-drop editing
will not function. This also affects the Examples and Demos found on the
Help menu: any demo that uses drag-and-drop editing can't display this
process. Other portions of the demo are not affected, and you should be
able to continue through the lesson.
CAUSE
The motions associated with drag-and-drop editing are not significantly
different from current Pen Windows gestures. Therefore, there is currently
no method for distinguishing between the two; only Pen Windows gestures are
recognized and interpreted.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Word listed
above.
