Writer: Sound Defaults to Off with Sound Galaxy Card (110193)

SYMPTOMS

If you use Creative Writer or Fine Artist with a Sound Galaxy sound card, you may experience the following problems:
  • When you start Creative Writer or Fine Artist, the volume defaults to Off (-).
  • If you move the volume slider in the Studio to its maximum setting (+), it returns to Off (-), even though sounds become audible.
  • When you change the volume level, you may receive an error message indicating that you can only set the volume to either maximum (+) or minimum (-).
