DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates a diskette for upgrading the Keyboard Controller KBC Firmware (ROM) in 
Presario 2800 and Evo N800 Series notebooks.  The KBC ROM interfaces directly with the 
hardware of the computer.

NOTE: This is the same firmware upgrade that was contained in SoftPaq SP22836. The only
      difference is in the installation steps, which have been improved and made easier.

HOW TO USE:
 
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the
SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions.


3. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

4. Turn off the computer.

5. Place the newly created Compaq Presario 2800/EvoN800 Series ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A:
and turn on the computer.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
