DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates a ROMPaq firmware diskette that can be used to locally
restore or upgrade the System ROM in the Presario/Evo models listed below with
a 68P4w Family ROM. The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running
the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power
on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information.

FIXES:
- Fixes issue where booting with a hard drive in the multibay and Multiboot enabled
caused the time to be reset to 3 minutes after the current hour.

HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the
SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you experience difficulty while creating the softpaq, Please perform the following steps:
a. Restart the system
b. Press F8 right after the COMPAQ start up logo
c. Select Safe Mode Option
d. System will continue load windows in Safe Mode
e. Execute the downloaded softpaq to create a bootable BIOS update diskette.
4. With BIOS update diskette inserted, reboot the system to perform BIOS upgrade.
3. After the system has been shutdown, you may delete all temporary files
and the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS
PROCEDURE!
