FASTBUS BIOS upgrade to Ver. 1.2J procedure

1. Run the self-extracting archive FB_12J.EXE in a sub-directory on your

   hard drive.  Copy the contents of the archive to a BLANK FORMATTED

   floppy.



2. Comment out any line referencing a memory manager such as QEMM386.SYS,

   HIMEM.SYS or any other memory management program in both AUTOEXEC.BAT 

   and CONFIG.SYS files, save changes and reboot the system.



3. After reboot, please insert the distribution diskette into drive A:

   and type:



      A:DL_12J.EXE [Enter].

   

   The screen should display on the bottom of your screen

   "BIOS is being downloaded, please wait ...".

   followed by a message instructing you to reset the system.

   

4. During system boot, verify that the new BIOS has been loaded by checking

   the BIOS sign on message. It should read as follows:

        

                "Diamond Flash ROM BIOS version 1.2J"



5. 1.2J ROM BIOS update is now complete.
