========================================================================== DTV 2000 CD-ROM README.TXT ========================================================================== Release Notes ------------- This is version 1.01 of the DTV 2000 CD-ROM. Overview -------- The purpose of this CD-ROM is to provide a central location for all drivers provided for the DTV 2000 and Stealth 3D Series graphics adapter. This CD-ROM is broken down into several subdirectories, with each subdirectory containing drivers for a given operating environment. At the root of each operating environment subdirectory is a set of instructions for installing the files for that subdirectory. Known Limitations ----------------- Depending on your video card's drivers, you may not be able to size the TV window to full screen in all modes. This affects both the Diamond TV Remote Control and Intel's Intercast applications. Check to make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. Moving a window over the TV window may cause the TV to change palette when not using the DirectX hardware scaling option for the capture driver. It may be necessary to toggle a couple channels to start the Closed Captioning or Intercast data when using Intel's Intercast application. If you have a Stealth 3D video card and have installed the S3 Live Video capture drivers, you may need to disable the S3 Live Video capture drivers to allow some video conferencing applications (like Microsoft Netmeeting) or capture programs (VidCap, etc) to properly find the DTV 2000 capture driver. Troubleshooting --------------- If Windows 95 does not display a message about new hardware upon putting the DTV 2000 in the system, insert the DTV 2000 driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and start the installation as follows: 1) Click on the START button in the task bar, select the option RUN, and then select START.EXE from the root directory of the DTV 2000 driver CD. 2) Choose INSTALLATION from the options. 3) Click the DIAMOND DTV 2000 option. 4) Click NEXT to proceed with the installation. 5) When the installation has finished, restart Windows 95. Intel Smart Guide ----------------- Any technical support issues for the Intel Smart Guide application, including TV program schedules, should be directed to Intel Smart TV group.
