                      InVision ROM DSP code
                  -----------------------------

The file you have downloaded INV.EXE contains support software 
for Orchid audio products that use the InVision wavetable ROM 
set.  Those products are the SoundWave 32+SCSI, and the 
GameWave 32Plus, which ship with InVision ROMs.  It may also 
include the SoundWave 32 and GameWave 32 if the stock (Prosonus) 
ROMs have been upgraded to InVision ROMs.  This readme file 
contains instructions for installing the supplemental DSP code.  
You have already completed the first step, by unpacking the 
INV.EXE file and reading this.  

This is not a complete driver set.  It is a supplemental upgrade.  
If you have any of the following driver sets you can add these 
updated files to your system.

Using the new DSP code
----------------------
1.  Copy the files listed above to your SoundWave or GameWave 
    directory.  That directory will probably be called one of the 
    following, depending on which product you have:

      C:\SW32      for the SoundWave 32
      C:\SWAVE32   for the SoundWave 32+SCSI
      C:\GW32      for the GameWave 32 and GameWave 32Plus

    The GENMID.LD and MT32.LD files are direct replacements for 
    existing DSP files you have in that directory.  Your older 
    versions will be overwritten.

2.  Once the files are copied into the proper directory, reboot 
    your system.  The new DSP code will load automatically when 
    your board is initialized in AUTOEXEC.BAT by either the 
    SW32.EXE or GW32.EXE programs.  



Changes in this Release
-----------------------

This updated DSP code adds the following functions to Orchid 
SoundWave and GameWave products. 

*   Enhanced SoundBlaster compatibility 

*   Improved MIDI THRU support

*   Improved MIDI SYSEX support (required for use with Orchid's
    DOS audio control panel which is coming soon).

*   new INFO.EXE program to report file versions 



Note:
-----
This new DSP code is ONLY appropriate for Orchid audio boards 
that have the InVision ROM upgrade installed.  You will 
experience odd wavetable sounds if you try to use them with other 
types of ROMS.  If you don't have the InVision ROM upgrade, but 
would like more information please see the following Press
