Adaptec Announces 24-hour Technical Support





Milpitas, Calif., - August 16, 1995 - Adaptec (NASDAQ:ADPT), an industry


leader in input/output (I/O) technology, has expanded its telephone


technical support to provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its


existing service, which is free, runs from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PST)


Monday through Friday. The extended service is offered to customers at a


charge of $99 per incident.





"Over the last year, several improvements in service delivery have been


well received by customers," said Rick Clark, manager of worldwide


technical support for Adaptec. "The After Hours technical support program


further demonstrates our commitment to provide customers with the highest


level of technical support when they need it."





Adaptec's other technical support services available to users include:


complimentary telephone support, interactive fax system, Adaptec Bulletin


Board, Adaptec Forum on CompuServe and Adaptec World Wide Web on the


Internet.
