Adding/Modifying Static Routes
Use the Static Routes Add/Modify window for help on how to
configure a static network/subnet route to the router's IP configuration.
Adding a Static Route
Procedure:

Enter a destination network/subnet IP
address in the Destination field. |
| 2 |
Enter a subnet mask in the Mask field. |
| 3 |
Enter a next-hop router IP address in the
Next Router field. |
| 4 |
Enter a cost in the Cost field. |
| 5 |
Click Apply. The destination
network/subnet IP address is added to the router's configuration. |
Modifying a Static Route
Procedure:

Action |
| 1 |
From the list of network IP addresses
displayed, click the Mod button associated with the network IP address of the static route
you want to modify. The Static Route Add/Modify window appears displaying the
network IP address you selected. |
| 2 |
Enter a new destination network/subnet IP
address, if appropriate, in the Destination field. |
| 3 |
Enter a new subnet mask, if appropriate, in
the Mask field. |
| 4 |
Enter a new next-hop router IP address, if
appropriate, in the Next Router field. |
| 5 |
Click Apply. The destination
network/subnet IP address is modified in the router's configuration. |
Deleting a Static Route
Procedure:

Action |
| 1 |
From the list of network IP addresses
displayed, click the Del button associated with the network IP address of the static route
you want to delete. The Static Route Add/Modify window appears displaying the
network IP address you selected. |
| 2 |
Enter 0.0.0.0 in the Destination field. |
| 3 |
Click Apply. The destination
network/subnet address is deleted from the router's configuration. |

Network IP address of the route. |
| Mask |
Subnet mask of the network IP address. |

Router |
Next hop IP address for a packet that
passes through this router. |
| Cost |
Cost of using the route. |
