Symptoms:
	PHSS_25884:
	If web servers are terminated without updating their
	respective server process id files, subsequent attempts
	to start the server  may report that the "server is already
	running"  and the server will fail to start.

Defect Description:
	PHSS_25884:
	There are circumstances, like system shutdown, where
	servers are not cleanly stopped. As a result, the
	file associated with the server may contain a
	process identifier that, upon subsequent
	server startup, is associated with a
	a process other than the server or server
	watchdog process. Attempts to start the servers fail
	and give a "server is already running" error.

	Resolution:
	The vvctl and webctl programs will perform a  check to
	see if the process identifier in the server pid file
	belongs to an executing httpd or uxwdog process before
	declaring that the server is already running.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHSS_25884

	5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -s /tmp/PHSS_25884.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in 
	/var/adm/sw/save/PHSS_25884.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, use the patch_save_files option:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -x patch_save_files=false -s /tmp/PHSS_25884.depot

	WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
		 the patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	For future reference, the contents of the PHSS_25884.text file is 
	available in the product readme:

		swlist -l product -a readme -d @ /tmp/PHSS_25884.depot

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:
