	Any of the following symptoms will be seen :
	1) mk_kernel(1M) will fail intermittently with the
	following error message.

	bstab: Kernel ID symbol not found
	*** Error exit code 1

	2) There will be inconsistency between the data that was
	read using read() and mmap() system calls. This can result
	in several unexpected failures and one such error message
	is as follows.

	# kconfig -s foo
	ERROR:   Unable to open the kernel registry file for the
	         configuration 'foo': KRS error code -1
	ERROR:   Error reading kernel configuration <foo>, while
	         generating system file

	Certain commands may seem to cause a system hang.
	mount(2), umount(2) & sync(2) syscalls may run very slowly
	on systems with large amounts of RAM.  This affects boot
	time, shutdown time and activities such as mount, umount,
	df, bdf, rlogin and sync during normal system operation.

Defect Description:
	PHKL_31151:

	When data is read using mmap() system call, all buffers in
	buffer cache corresponding to the data are not properly
	flushed off to the disk. This results in inconsistency
	between the data that was read using mmap() and read().

	Resolution:
	When data is read using mmap() system call, all buffers in
	buffer cache corresponding to the data are properly flushed
	off to the disk so that mmap() will not get any stale data.

	PHKL_30445:
	( SR:8606325344 CR:JAGae87634 )
	The basic problems are that several lists whose length
	is proportional to RAM size are processed serially, with
	unnecessary locking and/or no provision for early exit.

	Resolution:
	This fix
	terminates a scan once all desired objects are found.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHKL_31151

	5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -s /tmp/PHKL_31151.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in 
	/var/adm/sw/save/PHKL_31151.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, include the patch_save_files
	option in the swinstall command above:

		-x patch_save_files=false

	WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
