Patch Name: PHKL_23877 Patch Description: s700_800 11.11 HP VXVM B.03.10.[56] Range panic fix for DMP Creation Date: 01/04/13 Post Date: 01/04/16 Hardware Platforms - OS Releases: s700: 11.11 s800: 11.11 Products: HP VXVM B.03.10.[56] Filesets: HPvxvm.VXVM-KRN,fr=B.03.10.5,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_32,v=HP HPvxvm.VXVM-KRN,fr=B.03.10.6,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_32,v=HP HPvxvm.VXVM-KRN,fr=B.03.10.5,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_64,v=HP HPvxvm.VXVM-KRN,fr=B.03.10.6,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_64,v=HP Automatic Reboot?: Yes Status: General Release Critical: Yes PHKL_23877: PANIC Category Tags: defect_repair general_release critical panic Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/11.X/PHKL_23877 Symptoms: PHKL_23877: ( SR:8606181539 CR:JAGad50755 ) A panic will occur if DMP gets returned a value, not within the lvl table. ( SR:8606183017 CR:JAGad52233 ) "vxdctl enable" should result in the DMP_SET_LIC ioctl(2) call disabling DMP for these active/active arrays. But it only disables one array for each call of "vxdctl enable" Defect Description: PHKL_23877: ( SR:8606181539 CR:JAGad50755 ) DMP was not checking the value returned against the bounds of the lvl1 table. Any value greater would cause a panic. Resolution: Add a check to make sure value returned is within bounds of table. ( SR:8606183017 CR:JAGad52233 ) Routine had an extra "break" in it. This was causing the routine to break after only one pass through. Resolution: Remove extra break.
