	Ported HP-UX Patch PHKL_20937 to VVOS.

	Based upon PHKL_20937:

	After a panic or Transfer Of Control (TOC), the system
	indicates an invalid TOC vector and performs a hard reset
	instead of taking a system memory crashdump.

Defect Description:
	PHKL_23017:
	Ported HP-UX Patch PHKL_20937 to VVOS.

	Based upon PHKL_20937:
	( SR: 8606113923 DTS: JAGac12443 )
	The routines to manage the PSI list did not correctly handle
	certain deletions, and erroneously wrote to memory page 0,
	corrupting the TOC vector, the branch address used in
	performing system crash dumps.  If a system panic or TOC
	event occurred after this corruption of page 0, firmware
	would be unable to find a valid TOC vector, and therefore
	unable to perform the TOC.  This would result in a hard
	reset the system.

	Resolution:
	Fixed the PSI management routines to correctly handle
	the deletion, and not write to page 0 (overwriting the TOC
	vector).

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHKL_23017

	5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -s /tmp/PHKL_23017.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in 
	/var/adm/sw/save/PHKL_23017.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, use the patch_save_files option:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -x patch_save_files=false -s /tmp/PHKL_23017.depot

	WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
		 the patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	For future reference, the contents of the PHKL_23017.text file is 
	available in the product readme:

		swlist -l product -a readme -d @ /tmp/PHKL_23017.depot

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:
