If this happens, a protection fault will occur if the system attempts to use that region of memory for something other than I/O (shared memory access, in particular). Resolution: Code was added to remap io blocks down into the upper part of 32-bit IO space, even if the lower 32 bits are not in 32-bit IO space (addresses beginning with 0xF).
