This problem has been seen in Message Passing Interface applications, but could occur elsewhere. Defect Description: PHKL_22567: ( SR: 8606146368 CR: JAGad15711 ) This defect was caused by the code in setprivgrp() not being multi-processor safe. Thus, after heavy usage of this function for a period of time, parallel changes to the privilege group would cause a process to incorrectly lose the MLOCK privilege. Resolution: A rw lock was added to serialize write access to priv_global and privgrp_mask.
