Defect Description: PHCO_29606: ( SR: 8606342046 CR: JAGaf02953) This patch contains the vxadm utility required by the VERITAS Netbackup 5.0 product. Enhancement: Yes PHCO_29606: This patch is required to deliver the vxadm utility required by the VERITAS Netbackup 5.0 product. The purpose of vxadm utility is to provide a snapshot capability in a CVM environment. In a CVM environment, all transactions must be run on Master node only. If the applications running on a slave want to back up their data, the snapshot commands must be executed on the master(may be using rsh or ssh) remotely. vxadm is a distributed command using VEA infrastructure and can provide master/slave transparency to the application's hosts. The command will take care of routing the operation to master internally.
