Symptoms:
	PHCO_19772:
	If the tape is allocated to the same system as where
	the st(1M) command is issued, st(1M) returns 1, instead
	of 0 when successful.  Also, a different error format
	is returned other than what is described on the man
	page in this case on failure.

	PHCO_16720:
	Need a command-line interface for checking the status of a
	shared tape device, or for reclaiming a shared tape device
	from a host that has failed while holding a reservation on
	the device.

Defect Description:
	PHCO_19772:
	Changes have been made to st(1M) to allow the proper
	return code to be returned on success.  Also, a more
	descriptive, correctly formatted error message has been
	added in the case that a device is on the same system
	as where the st(1M) command was issued, but the device is
	busy.

	PHCO_16720:
	Need a command-line interface for checking the status of a
	shared tape device, or for reclaiming a shared tape device
	from a host that has failed while holding a reservation on
	the device.  An enhancement to the mt(1) command adds the
	functionality that allows a host to reserve and release a
	shared tape device.  However, if a host goes down, then it
	is unable to issue the mt(1) release command.  This st(1M)
	command allows the device to be reclaimed, so that it is
	available for use by other hosts.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHCO_19772

	5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -s /tmp/PHCO_19772.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in 
	/var/adm/sw/save/PHCO_19772.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, use the patch_save_files option:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -x patch_save_files=false -s /tmp/PHCO_19772.depot

	WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
		 the patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.
