Symptoms:
	PHCO_16421:
	If /stand/vmunix and /stand/dlkm are manually moved
	to /stand/vmunix.prev and /stand/dlkm.vmunix.prev,
	respectively, prior to running kmupdate and booting a newly
	configured kernel, the saved kernel files are removed,
	potentially leaving the system with no bootable kernel.

Defect Description:
	PHCO_16421:
	When following procedures to manually reconfigure the kernel
	as outlined in the "Managing Systems and Workgroups" manual,
	the saved version of the previous kernel is removed during
	the shutdown/restart process, potentially leaving the system
	with no bootable kernel in the event that the newly
	configured kernel fails to boot.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHCO_16421

	5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -s /tmp/PHCO_16421.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in 
	/var/adm/sw/save/PHCO_16421.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, use the patch_save_files option:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true \
			  -x patch_save_files=false -s /tmp/PHCO_16421.depot

	WARNING: If patch_save_files is false when a patch is installed,
		 the patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	For future reference, the contents of the PHCO_16421.text file is 
	available in the product readme:

		swlist -l product -a readme -d @ /tmp/PHCO_16421.depot

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:
