Symptoms:
        PHSS_5776:
        The network install process does not have support for some
        of the latest disk drives shipped by Hewlett-Packard in the
        internal /etc/disktab.

        PHSS_5175:
        The 9.01, 9.03 and the orginal 9.05 release of the network
        install capability will not recognize some of the newer disk
        drives shipped by Hewlett Packard.

        Error message produced by installation tool:
        Note:  The destination disk type:  <disk_model> was not
        found in the disk table /etc/disktab.  If model number:
        <disk_model> is incorrect, and a correct one (one that has
        an entry in /etc/disktab) is known, please enter it now,
        otherwise just press return:

        PHSS_4862:
        The 9.01 and 9.03 release of the network install capability
        will not recognize some of the newer disk drives shipped by
        Hewlett Packard.

Defect Description:
        PHSS_5776:

        Loading this patch onto a network install server will allow
        systems doing the installation to install to the newer disks
        shipped by Hewlett Packard.  This patch can be used with
        9.01, 9.03 and 9.05 network install servers.

        This patch contains entries for the latest disks, as well
        as automatic support for future disks without the need for a
        new disktab entry.  This patch provides identical
        capabilities as available in the 9.07 HP-UX release of the
        NET-INSTL-700 fileset.

        PHSS_5175:

        Loading this patch onto a network install server will allow
        systems doing the installation to install to the newer disks
        shipped by Hewlett Packard.  This patch can be used with
        9.01, 9.03 and 9.05 network install servers.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Copy the patch to your /tmp directory and unshar it:

                cd /tmp
                cp patch_source/PHSS_5776 .
                sh PHSS_5776

        3. Become root and run update:

                /etc/update

        4. Use the cursor keys to select "Change Source or
           Destination ->" and press [Return].

        5. Select "From Tape Device to Local System ..."
           in the Change window and

        6. Change "Source: /dev/rmt/0m" to
           "Source: /tmp/PHSS_5776.updt"

        7. Press "Done" (f4).

        8. Follow the standard directions for update.

        Update moves the original software to
        /system/PHSS_5776/orig.  Keep this file to recover from any
        potential problems.  You should move the .text file to
        /system/PHSS_5776 for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and update from the
        tape drive, use dd:

                dd if=PHSS_5776.updt of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2048

Special Installation Instructions:  
        This patch (if needed) should be loaded onto your
        9.01/9.03/9.05 network-install boot server (the system that
        new systems are booted from).  This boot-server will have
        the NET-INSTL-700 fileset already loaded.

        Any default parameters configured with instl_adm(1M) will be
        lost when this patch is loaded.  You will need to run
        instl_adm again after the patch is loaded to restore them.

        This patch contains the 9.07 install kernel.
