Patch Name: PHKL_2875 Patch Description: panic data segmentation fault (ioctl IOMAPMAP findpreg) The panic usually occurs as a data segmentation fault in the kernel routine findpreg. It occurs when iomapping is done and the driver code does an iomap_open call and then the process exits before an IOMAPMAP ioctl call is made. An entry in a kernel data structure is added at the time of the open, but not deleted at the exit. The fix allows for the deletion of the entry so that it is not referenced. PHKL_1964: allow duplicate memory mappings This allows duplicate uses of map_mem_to_host() and iomap(7) on the same address range. Change the "Source: /dev/rmt/0m" to "Source: /tmp/PHKL_2875.updt" (this assumes that you are in the /tmp directory where PHKL_2875.updt has been placed). Note: You must enter the complete path name. 5) Press "Done". 6) From here on follow the standard directions for update. The customized script that update runs will move the original software to /system/PHKL_2875/orig. HP recommends keeping this software there in order to recover from any potential problems. It is also recommended that you move the PHKL_2875.text file to /system/PHKL_2875 to be retained for future reference.
