Patch Name: PHNE_1578 Patch Description: System can panic when NFS doesn't deallocate routes. This problem is related to route allocation. When NFS sends a packet, it allocates a route for that packet but didn't deallocate the routes that it allocated. This would cause the reference count (refcnt on the 'netstat -r' output) to become negative. In this case, routes can be deleted even though they are still in use. When these deleted routes are accessed, the system can panic. This problem will only occur when routes are deleted. This happens with one of four things: manual route deletion, running gated, running a user program which deletes routes, or when a route created by an ICMP re-direct is deleted by arp. arp only deletes these when it cannot contact the host routes destination.
