Patch Name: PHKL_1147 Patch Description: Decrease time to open floppy device Problem this patch addresses: The time required to open a floppy device in HP-UX 8.07 can be substantial when the floppy media is unformatted or is formatted using a non MSDOS geometry. This patch reduces these excessive open times from 4 minutes 30 seconds (worst case) to under 30 seconds (worst case). Since SoftPC opens floppy devices multiple times, the decrease in SoftPC floppy open times can be even more dramatic.
