Patch Name: PHCO_2463 Patch Description: mv loses a file when writing to a full NFS-mounted disk. When using mv to move a file to a NFS mounted file system, write failures because the disk is full are not detected. This causes the original file to be lost without any warning to the user. This problem does not occur on full local or diskless file system. The cause of the problem is that write(2) returns successfully, even thought the NFS mounte file system is full. The solution involves checking the return value from close(2), to see if the data was written successfully. If close(2) fails, the original file is not removed.
