        PHSS_5231:
        Multiple symptoms are cured in this patch, including:

        dsilog will core dump unpredictably on "ROLL ACTION".
        sdlexpt will not export ANY data after index wrap around.
        dsilog generates the wrong stop time for roll action.
        dsilog will not generate a roll action after the first roll
               action.
        dsilog Index by day, roll by day broken.
        dsilog Index by month, roll by month broken
        dsilog Index by day roll by month is broken.
        sdlexpt weekend specification is broken,
            sdlexpt -we 71 (anything) causes unpredictable results.
        sdlexpt -we generates strange records.

Defect Description:
        PHSS_5231:
        DSI versions A.03.00 was included with PerfView A.03.00.
        It was also included with HP Performance Collection Software
        (HP PCS) on many platforms and releases.

        before installing this patch.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Copy the patch to your /tmp directory and unshar it:

                cd /tmp
                cp patch_source/PHSS_5231 .
                sh PHSS_5231

        3. Become root and run update:

                /etc/update

        4. Use the cursor keys to select "Change Source or
           Destination ->" and press [Return].

        5. Select "From Tape Device to Local System ..."
           in the Change window and

        6. Change "Source: /dev/rmt/0m" to
           "Source: /tmp/PHSS_5231.updt"

        7. Press "Done" (f4).

        8. Follow the standard directions for update.

        Update moves the original software to
        /system/PHSS_5231/orig.  Keep this file to recover from any
        potential problems.  You should move the .text file to
        /system/PHSS_5231 for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and update from the
        tape drive, use dd:

                dd if=PHSS_5231.updt of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2048
