Patch Description: s300_400 9.X X11 Font Server July 1994 Periodic Patch

New changes:

94/05 - Fixed core dump when serving fonts to a PC X server (or other X
servers with Intel byte ordering).

- Fixed core dump due to extraneous free() in ListFontsWithInfo.

- After 65536 requests, X server fails to recognizes font server
replies/errors.

- Invalid pointers left around after server recycle can crash the font
server.

Previously released patch changes retained:

93/12 - Logic error in packing glyphs can corrupt memory, crashing the
font server.

93/12 - Font server:  Applications using font server can core dump
Xserver (font structures are freed but still used) EPIC 0903, STARS SR

93/10 - Font server:  Some memory leaks patched.  Characters were
sometimes garbled when font servers were used in a chain.

- Font utilities:  /usr/bin/X11/bdftopcf:  Fixed the -i option.
/usr/bin/X11/mkfontdir:  MIT patch:  correct removal of old fonts.dir
files

93/09/14 - New font server package for s700/s800

93/04/01 - Upgraded font server.

- Some memory leaks have been plugged.

- Memory usage has been reduced.

- Some bugs that caused the font server to crash or to get into a
high-CPU-usage idle state have been fixed.

After getting the patch onto your machine, unshar the patch (sh PHSS_4512).

To install this patch do the following:
1) Run /etc/update (Note: you must be logged in as root to update
   a system).
2) Once in the update "Main Menu" move the highlighted line to "Change
   Source or Destination ->" and press "Return" or "Select Item".
3) Make sure the highlighted item in the "Change Source or Destination"
   window is "From Tape Device to Local System ...", then press "Return" or
   "Select Item".
4) You should now be in the "From Tape Device to Local System" window.
   Change the "Source:  /dev/rmt/0m" to "Source: /tmp/PHSS_4512.updt"
   (this assumes that you are in the /tmp directory where PHSS_4512.updt
   has been placed).  Note: You must enter the complete path name.
5) Press "Done".
6) From here on follow the standard directions for update.

The customized script that update runs will move the original software
to /system/PHSS_4512/orig.  HP recommends keeping this software there in
order to recover from any potential problems.  It is also recommended that
you move the PHSS_4512.text file to /system/PHSS_4512 to be retained for
future reference.

If you wish to put this patch on a magnetic tape and update from the tape
drive, dd a copy of the patch to the tape drive.  As an example the
following will create a copy of the patch that update can read:
